Steam sells World of Goo for just $4.99 this weekend

Valve has already put Unreal Tournament III on sale until March 15 and let folks play the full game for free this weekend. However their regular Steam weekend update is still in play and today they have put 2D Boy's terrific puzzle title World of Goo on sale for just $4.99. That's 66 percent off its normal price of $14.99 on Steam.

It's true: Age of Booty for the PC finally released

We've been waiting a long time for this moment but it has now finally arrived: Capcom has just released the PC downloadable strategy game with our personal favorite title: Age of Booty. Yes, now you can purchase and download the Certain Affinity-developed title for $10 at Capcom's online store. The pirate themed Age of Booty was first released as a PC beta back in October but the full and final version of the game was released for the Xbox 360 in October and for the PS3 in November. There is no word as to why the full PC version took so long to be completed but it's ready now. In its official blog, Capcom says the game will appear on other download outlets like Steam and Direct2Drive soon. in addition we can also expect a PC demo of Age of Booty to be released with Capcom it will "likely arrive next week."

Freeware Friday: Blush

Welcome to Freeware Friday, a weekly column showcasing excellent games that you can play free of charge! With this quality of work coming from Flashbang Studios on a regular basis, expect to see one of their newest browser games featured on Freeware Friday on a regular basis. We've already featured Raptor Safari and Jetpack Brontosaurus before, and we even featured Minotaur China Shop on launch week. Despite their latest title containing no mythical or ancient creatures (well, maybe one. But it's not the focus!), it is definitely following the trend of extremely high-quality releases in a relatively short timespan that the previous games have created. I'm talking about Blush, and while short, it is no less addicting than any of their other games.

Mysterious racing name has a name: Split Second

You may remember that a few weeks ago we posted up a new teaser trailer for an action-paced Burnout-style racing game from developer Black Rock Studios (they made the solid off-road racing game Pure for Disney Interactive last fall). While details of the game are supposed to be revealed on March 11 we now at least know of the game's title.

The tournament series are the monthly tournaments that take place in Guild Wars between eight member guild teams as well as one versus one battles. The tournaments not only pay out with recognition as being one of the best players or being a member of one of the best guilds in the game, but also with tangible rewards from the Zaishen faction. Some of the rewards include titles as well as special emotes and potions.
